Nine years ago, Julie-Ann Chapman created She Shreds being the first 'all girls' snowmobile clinic in the world, which has progressed and branched out from there. Julie-Ann and her team specializes in teaching women to progress their skills on their snowmobile and now we welcome men to join us for clinics and guided adventures as well!  With a strong emphasis on backcountry safety, She Shreds provides one of the best snowmobile adventure learning experiences. She Shreds also provides avalanche safety courses in conjunction with the Canadian Avalanche Association.

Pemberton BC Backcountry Snowmobiling Series with coach Janice

JANUARY 18 2020 - BEGINNER LADIES - 1 day course. Your first time on a sled? Maybe second? You're thinking of maybe getting into the sport and want to give it a try! This is the clinic for you!

COST: $400.00 + TAX

JANUARY 19 - INTERMEDIATE LADIES - As an intermediate rider, your stamina and endurance is now starting to get a little stronger. If you somewhat know the basics like powder carving but are really starting to grow a passion for sledding and want to start to actually sidehill, this is the clinic for you! You don’t quite have the budget for a 2.5 day clinic, but still want to learn lots. Get ready to wiz past the skills progression lessons quickly to be able to compact it all into 1 day.

COST: $400.00 + TAX

MARCH 6-8 - INTERMEDIATE LADIES - As an intermediate rider, your stamina and endurance is now starting to get a little stronger. You’re ready for 2 days on snow! The Friday evening we do a classroom style lesson with a meet and greet than 2 full days on snow. We will take our time through the skills progression lessons and really make sure you can do it before moving on. If you somewhat know the basics like powder carving but are really starting to grow a passion for sledding and want to start to actually sidehill, this is the clinic for you!

COST: $800.00 + TAX

MARCH 13-15 2020 - ADVANCED LADIES - As an advanced rider, you are ready to start sledding “outside of the box”. This is a clinic that will really push your technical skills in the tree’s, boosting off of features, and nailing “that line” with proper skills and throttle control. The Friday evening we do a classroom style lesson with a meet and greet than 2 full days on snow. If you can already sidehill but are really wanting to push yourself with obstacles around you and nailing technical lines, this is the clinic for you!

COST: $800.00 + TAX

INTERMEDIATE

As an intermediate rider, your stamina and endurance is now starting to get a little stronger. If you already know the basics like powder carving but are really starting to grow a passion for sledding and want to start to actually sidehill and ride a bit more technical terrain.

Here is the riding skills lessons we cover in a beginners clinic:

  • Throttle control

  • Proper body positioning

  • Sidehilling on mellow angled slopes

  • J Hooks & U Turns in open flat terrain

  • Powder carving on technical terrain (downhill and around obstacles)

  • Getting the sled on edge in a bit more technical terrain

  • How to start “seeing lines outside the box”

  • And much more…

ADVANCED

As an advanced rider, your stamina and endurance is top shape. You can already sidehill but are really wanting to push yourself with obstacles around you and nailing technical lines. You are ready to start sledding “outside of the box”. This is a clinic that will really push your technical skills in the tree’s, boosting off of features, and nailing “that line” with proper skills and throttle control.

Here is the riding skills lessons we cover in a beginners clinic:

  • Throttle control

  • Proper body positioning

  • Sidehilling in technical terrain with obstacles

  • J Hooks & U Turns in technical terrain with obstacles

  • Stopping and going in technical terrain with descending/ascending a slope on edge

  • How to start spotting technical lines and nailing them around obstacles

  • How to start “nail lines outside the box” that will push you to be a better rider ie taking the harder line always!

  • Boosting off of natural features
